Unstoppable Love

Romans 8:35-39
“35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[o]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[p] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

As a believer in Christ, I truly believe that nothing can separate us from the love that God has for us. When I say that His love is unstoppable, I am stating nothing, but the truth. There are so many times as a believer where I have abused Gods grace, but He has still continued to love me. There have been many times when my actions and emotions have got the better of me, but some how God has never stopped trying hold my hand on this journey.

A lot of us see God in an abusive manner because of the pain that our humanly relationships have done to us in our past or present. Some of us have made mistakes along the way, and people have hurt us along the way. We have been spiritually, physically, or emotionally abused. There is deep wounds inside of us because of the hurtful relationships we have been in. Let me tell you something “God is not like that one bit.”

Let me use this illustration. Pretend you are teaching a baby how to walk, and they keep on falling down, or go back to crawling on the ground. Them falling down doesn’t mean you should yell at them and say “I hate you. You stupid little baby. Your never going to learn anything. I will not love you anymore.” Instead we should encourage our child and say, “Your alright, your going to get there, try again, and I will keep on loving you the same.”

We are Gods children, and we need to know that He is trying to teach us to walk with Him. When we stumble or fall short, He is not going to kick us out, or disown us from being His child. He is not going to say, “You can no longer be my child because you have stumbled. Instead, God picks us up and says, “You are my child, keep going, I will keep walking with you, and nothing can separate me from the love that I have for you. My love is unstoppable and it will never stop loving you. NO matter how dirty you think you are. That is my love.”

If you think that you are unworthy of Gods love, look in a mirror and tell yourself that you are a child of God the most high. Nothing can separate you from the love that God sheds down upon you. Nothing at all. That is what grace is all about. Grace is unstoppable love that God wants to pore down on you.
Question: What tends to separate you from Gods unstoppable love? What is grace to you?
